The Fort will close early

In response to the brawling incident that shut down Embassy, Taguig's city council unanimously decides that all of their city's nightspots should close their doors by 2:30 am.

Taken from Inquirer:

"Under this ordinance, such establishments would have to close down by 2:30 a.m. or else face temporary closure and an investigation by the city government,” [Councilor Erwin] Manalili said.

First-time violators would be issued a warning while repeat offenders face the penalty of being slapped with a temporary closure order.

The ordinance also regulates the sale and serving of liquor and alcoholic beverages in establishments such as restaurants, bars, clubs, videoke clubs, cafés, hotels and other similar establishments.

According to Manalili, these nightspots should be shut from 2:30 a.m. to 6 a.m.

“The parents in the city are in favor of this ordinance for it would mean the safety of the children,” he said. The same ordinance also requires “sari-sari” (variety) and convenience stores to sell liquor only up to 2 a.m.

So I guess if some jerk wants to beat up some innocent patron, he'll have to do it before 2:30 am.

hmm interesting, if we close early, doesn't that mean less oney for people to purchase that means less tax that means less money for the politicans....  :-P i mean like realstically sure  some we have to think of the violence but like other than that we also ahve to think of the people/ ladies who msut make a earning to support themselves if not their family through this line of work don't you think?

geez another incident? they should just close the damn place for all the past incidents that's happened there. really ironic that for such a posh place, most of the people going there don't seem to have proper breeding.

wow. apparently, you can put a curfew on violence. stupid politicians.

How will the new bar Members Only survive? supposedly exclusive for private members.

Whatever time they set to close shop if there are still such incidents then I believe the ordinance wouldn't be effective. Incidents like this may occur at anytime of the day or night.
