FHM article

My FHM article on escorts was published in the June 2008 edition. That's the one with Ehra Madrigal in the cover. If any of you get to read it, I would love to hear your comments.

To sir appetite_entertainment and to sir memphisMalkav, i would like to personally thank both of you for the quite informative and enlightening exchanges of point of view. We as readers learned a lot here. Kudos! and more power to your site sir Bman!

Likewise here, sir. Our exchange of opinions here did not benefit only our own judgements and perceptions on the issue but that of the other readers as well. Thank you.

If I may excuse myself to provide some enlightenment to your readers, Sir Bman. In response to a suggestion concerning putting in some balance in the story by including that of those who are in it for the pleasure more, rather than just the money. You see, no one in the trade is in it for the pleasure, sadly. Most are 100% in it for the money or other solutions the trade may provide. And definitely it is not, or never has been, the pleasure of it. I have had nymphos, who worked for me in the past, most of whom came from rather well-off families, have good breedings and unbelievably good looks. Now these ladies came to me, seemingly in search of thrill and sexual relief. They provided service for me and left me with all the monetary profit. It could've been the pleasure. But is it? Nymphomania is a disorder. It is an uncontrollable physical hunger that needs to be satisfied. Do these people get pleasure for what they do? NO! They get relief yet regret every minute they had to do it. Most may not show it or tell. But if you get to learn what they go through every single time, you'd understand, and maybe sympathize, to what they suffer from. In this trade, there no such thing as balance.

I respect your take on the matter. But at the same time, I must respectfully disagree.

While nymphomania is a disorder, an above average appetite for sex does not neccesarily equate to such a disorder. It is not totally outside the realm of possibility that there are those that enjoy this kind of profession. A perfect example would be the story of Diablo Cody.

Now, while it can be argued that she was not an escort but a stripper, the premise of being a woman in control of her sexuality and involved in the adult entertainment business is present. Another point in fact would be Jenna Jameson who has time and again admitted her enjoyment of being an adult video star.

Given that both examples are not escorts or Filipinos, we cannot ignore the basic truth that escorts have the same urges and needs just like everybody else. To say that an escort cannot derive pleasure from the experience, the elimination of this possibility, would be tantamount to saying that all escorts have a golden, untainted heart, in my opinion. And I find that very hard to believe.

Your opinions and beliefs respected sir. It is not eliminating the possibility but as I have said, they are not in the trade for the pleasure of it. They are in the trade for solutions, whether financial or otherwise. Human as they are, their appetite for sex is separate from the work nature of the trade. It is a bonus, of course, that they also get to enjoy the sensual pleasures reciprocated by some of their clients. What I am pointing out are the reasons why they got into this and if you read my comment clearly, I said nothing of them deriving no pleasure from what they do but rather pointing out  there is no real pleasure in being in it.

As you have said, your given examples are not in the same specific line of trade as escorts. Above average appetite for sex is not a disorder, correct. But if the appetite is compulsive as to different partners, strangers for that matter, I see no normality in that, even from a medical point of view. With regards to Jenna Jameson, being an adult film star, her declaring such is to be classified as plain and simple marketing. Her business is to visually/mentally stimulate men's appetite for sex so her popularity, projects and paycheck goes up. Interviews as such are geared to increase her following by fulfilling a fantasy of many for a great looking woman hungry for spontaneous sex.  But did it ever occur to anyone why I nor anyone else in the world's media never heard of Jenna Jameson romping around anyday with just any male around the corner for a cup of tea, much more for free? For a fat film paycheck and for the fame and glamour that comes with it, absolutely yes. Now that is the same as with escorts, who as I was told are like everybody else, sans the disorders, of course. The only real pleasure they get is when they count their earnings afterwards and/or, when they find solutions to what made them get into it the first place.

Just my two cents point of view sir. No pun intended.  And thank you, that I know someone spent time to read my comment/s. At least my nosebleed from writing in English got its worth. Hehehe. Congrats Sir Bman, you have quite an active audience here. Means you got us all quite in a stir with your articles. More power.

At this point, I guess we have reached a few conclusions:

1. Sex is or can be pleasurable to both parties, in the physical sense.

2. Money and all that comes with it is certainly the great motivation that drew these people to enter the trade.

3. And lastly, while I talk about possibly balancing the article with a story about someone who enjoys both the sex and the money, and maybe even the sex more than the money, you come from a position of first hand experience on the matter.

For both 1 and 2, I think that we can both agree. For part 3 however, I believe that we can just agree to disagree. Understandably though, our arguments do not see eye to eye. The reason being that my suggestion operates only on the realm of possibility, that there may be such a person or two out there, while your take on the issue comes from the reality that you have seen.

I will concede though that in most, if not all known cases, your version is what plays out. However, I would like to once again reiterate that my suggestion stems from the "what if." And I, honestly, appreciate that you at least recognize that the possibility exists, albeit miniscule in probability.

Again, I would like to go back to my original comment by saying that my suggestion in balancing the article "presumes" that such an encounter happened in the first place. If it did not, then that is perfectly fine. My original intention was only to suggest something that may have made it more interesting, in my opinion, from a creative writing point of view, rather than to imply that the article left something out in its attempt to be truthful.

I appreciate your comment and do take them seriously into consideration, as I hope that you would mine. It has been a pleasure trading opinions with a fellow gentleman, sir.

Read the article, and as you said, you have a romanticized view of escorts. That, of course, is not bad. However, this is a worn out topic. In the spirit of constructive criticism, I would have preferred that you balanced the story with that of one who is in it for the pleasure just as much, if not more, than the money. This would presume of course that you have encountered one such specimen since you are talking from personal experience. But, again, that's just me and that would have made, in my opinion, a more interesting read.

But don't get me wrong, I still very much enjoyed reading the article. :)

based form what i've read The name Jane is my favorite scenario...

Just read the article today. Great writing as always Mr. B.  For me it showed the 3 scenarios of the PSP experience.  The first one is having feelings for one and getting to know more about the person behind the profession.  Second is fulfilling one's fantasy, having a cover model like woman laying in bed with you.  Lastly it show the dissapointment and risks invloved that comes with this kind of experience.

This is the first time that i will put comment here. Im a big fan of your site even before (philippines-fo-men), anyhow. I read your article on FHM, actually i bought it because you said it was your article. The article was nice and all, very informative especially to the newbies in the "carnal world" yet there is just one worry for me... you put your website on your article, we dont want you to be another mark verzo (boybastos) that some moralist will try to pull you down just because of this issue. Anyway... keep up the good work and more articles to come, we will wait for it! Peace!

Interesting actually. Always been curious about their motivations. One and all, it boils down to one thing. You can never make them love you I guess, but I don't know what kind of man can ever truly love one in return....

will check this out.

the article was cool. It shows the different types of "girls".  Very informative especially i haven't tried one yet.

got the issue last Friday. and as I was browsing through the pages, seeing Buwayahman's name on the byline, I knew that I just had to read it... nice article because he was able to relate the different sides of the PSP experience. it's not fantasy-fulfilled everytime because some PSP's out there are just so bad. haha...

got to read the article and my fav cover girl ehra...ehrotic..!!

if you read Bman's article and been an active reader/contributor in his website..in the instant you can relate...
