Last night I got an SMS from a PSP that I haven't heard from in months. It was the usual "How are you?" message, followed shortly by the predictable "I miss you."

Then it dawned on me---it's sem break and the next school term is just around the corner!

Most PSPs^? are either students or single mothers, and tuition fees would be one of their biggest financial obligations. Personally, I don't mind engaging a PSP if she needs the money for tuition. Some PSPs, however, are in the trade for less ambitious reasons---some just want to use the money to have fun in bars and discos, others do it for materialistic reasons (for example, "I must have that new Nokia phone!"), or for some deadbeat husband or live-in partner of theirs. These I would rather not meet.

So this week---and possibly the next week---is when most PSPs are willing to do the deed at discounted fees.

When is the worst time to engage the services of a PSP? December and January would be the worst. This is the time when many clients would get their Christmas bonuses. Also, many overseas workers would be coming home, carrying loads of cash and possibly sex-starved. Demand for PSPs would be high and if you engaged a PSP in the evening, it is possible that she had already did some service in the morning and the afternoon.
