A lot of readers have asked me how I get to photograph my "experiences" with my partners.

Technically it requires a camera with an interval timer, but I suppose that is not what the readers are asking for.

Ok, I always ask permission from my partner. I make it clear and obvious that I am taking pictures. I don't hide the camera under a blanket or inside a closet. The camera is out in the open, mounted on a tripod. Or, I use the webcam of my PC.

I also show them the pictures and I also delete those where faces are recognizable. Where their face is recognizable but my face isn't, I give them a copy if they wish. If both our faces are recognizable, I delete the picture and I don't provide them a copy. And I delete it in front of them.If I used a camera, I delete it in the camera. I also use image-editing tools to remove any tell-tale marks, especially tatoos.

Also, while I am at it, I also take a few portrait shots which I then clean up and send to them through email. Just to show that I am quite serious about the craft and that I have at least some talent. I believe it establishes some level of credibility. At least, it can communicate that I am no panting, tongue-wagging, salivating pubescent who plans to earn bragging rights by distributing the picture to fellow panting, tongue-wagging salivating pubescents. Ok, maybe I do want some bragging rights, but hopefully those who have access to the pictures are not panting pubescents.

I guess it all comes down to a matter of trust. For the PSPs^? who are familiar with me, as well as for my FUBUs, they know me well enough that I don't submit these pictures to forums or "scandal" sites. And besides, one of them reasoned, no one is recognizable anyway.
